Intellect, reason, love, and faith need not exist independently. They are often poor substitutes for each other (don’t try proving a theorem with love, for example), but they can surely co-exist (such as having faith in the scientific method). It seems to me that these concepts are in need of further development and so discussing what happens at the intersection of science and religion will be the general theme of this blog.
I am currently a Ph.D. student in Biology with a B.A. in Mathematics from The University of Chicago. At the same time, I am a Jew who admires Hasidic philosophy and identifies with the Chabad-Lubavitch movement. I was born in New York, NY.
